28 Day Challenge Day 7&8

Hello Friends, Can you believe a week has gone by already? It seems like yesterday I just started this journey of eating whole plant based foods. I must say I certainly have not been hungry. These foods fill you up so you never have to worry about hunger pangs. It has been a tremendous week.

Remember one of my first videos, (you can see it on my instagram account – milk and honey acres), it was at the grocery store and I showed you everything I had bought and then right at the last Lydia zoomed in on the toilet paper and that became the joke of the whole video. I said we will be needing that toilet paper because all these veggies are gonna make us regular. Well I’m happy to inform you that I have been very regular. Two times a day usually and a nice consistency if you can even tell lol. A few times throughout the week it was a little runny, however at least I was going. So eating all these veggies has definitely helped. Some people say you should be going after every meal. I have not gotten there yet and I am satisfied with twice. Yes this is normal people. If you don’t go twice a day and it’s been a week of nothing coming out that end then I would suggest you start this way of eating right away. Going once or twice a week is not normal and it is not healthy for you.

Oatmeal and blueberries are definitely helping with elimination as it is filled with fibre.  I think exercising everyday is helping too. Although the last couple of days I have felt kind of sluggish and tired as you can see on my two days of times for my 3 miles.

For exercise on the Transform App I did 21 Mountain Climbers, 21 Dive Bombs (from my knees) and then 21 Air Squats. Then repeating 15 times and then 9 times each, plus moving onto the accelerator. For the accelerator I do 15 min with 30 second intervals of high and low intensity, then I continue to finish my 3 miles. It has been a challenge but I am pressing on to get it done consistently.

Next I have a picture of me in my favourite sweatshirt, with my belly bulge showing through. I took the photo so i can see the difference after this challenge is complete. I will take another photo at the end and put them side by side. I can hardly wait! I also have forgotten to take pics of my meals  however I do have this one below. It’s a yummy stirfry with a ton of different vegetables and beans. I also made a large salad so I can have quick and easy meals when needed, I just pull it out and add the tomatoes or snap peas or whatever else I feel like adding at the time.

I have not really followed any recipes. I find it easier just to pull out what I feel like eating at the time. I did make a cashew lemon salad dressing though. I will have to perfect it and then let you know how to make it. It was delicious however I will have to watch the fat content as I don’t want to go over my limit as to what I am allowing myself on this challenge. It has also been a week so I will post my pounds lost below. Until next time, be blessed, smile at someone and give thanks!                                                                                         Love Megan Elaine

Weight Lost is 5.4 lbs – I was 177.2 and went down to 171.8

I also lost 1/2″ all around my body which equals 4″ total

I also forgot to measure my calf so I will do that next week.
